Looks like a new version of SimCity is being released in 2013...
Looks interesting to me....
Thoughts?

From what I've heard, the new SimCity requires an internet connection to work, which is a huge negative for me. I get my best SimCitying done when I'm stuck at the airport waiting for a plane.

Oh really? Why would I need an internet connection, that's disappointing....

From what I've read about it, it stores the city files on EA's server online, rather than in a file on your hard drive. Apparently they did it that way to make it easier to use the multiplayer mode, but it means to load the game you have to have an internet connection.

Yeah, and if the internet connection is slow, then I'm sure it will slow things even more... Guess I'll stick with SimCity 4...

Yeah, that's what I'm planning to do. Thinking of new versions of games, I finally got around to buying a copy of Civ5, though I haven't installed it yet.

Oh really, I have yet to move to Civ 4 even, just haven't been Civin' lately... Been playing alot of SimCity and 1602 AD.... Thought 1602 is so old that Windows 7 or the graphics program on this computer sometimes barfs all over it and tries to display it in 16 colors I think....

Ah, yeah, I ran into that problem. The solution is to set Windows to 16-bit colors before starting the game (and not to Alt-Tab out of the game, because it'll freak out if you do that).
